A great experience...
Went for leader's convention today..
Woke up around 5.25am, got ready, and headed off to the KTM station.
Thought I was the earliest to arrive, but Abigail JACOB had beat me to it. (^^,)
Both of us waited for the others to arrive, saw someone coming in school uniform under the shadows...couldn't tell who...
After he/she had come out of the gloomy tree shades, we saw...JEREMY ONG!
Then Shia, followed by Jeremy YEE.
And we thought the president would be the first to arrive...*whistling* (^^,)
Anyway, when everyone showed up...off we went to wait for the train.
Told riddles, *DIRTY* jokes by Jeremy ONG, to one another...it was good entertainment!
Once we got off the KTM train, did speed walking to MBS cause we were late. It was like training for the upcoming Lebuh Raya race next week. A good start! (^^,)
Had to walk uphill...exhausting. Especially when speed walking with a Baju Kurung on.
When we arrived at MBS, the convention had already started...what a great entrance!
We had Gardenia Chocolate Raisin bread for our breakfast...had to do speed eating too.
Subang Utama students were the latest to arrive I guess. woohoo?
The theme this year "METAMORPHOSIS". First we had an ice-breaker, then a wonderful Praise & Worship..Then a Scripture Union slideshow presentation, offering, then the first message by *lady-who-crushed-aluminium-tins*.
We then had a short break. Had a donut and kuih ketayap. I did have a curry puff with me at first, but unfortunately...I dropped it on the ground by Accident. Guess I was too hungry or excited. (^^,)
Before walking back to the hall, saw Rueben sitting by the bench in a sand box. *Smile* Felt like kicking some sand onto his shoes...but, I resisted the temptation. xD Lucky Rueben.
The event continued on with a sketch by Taman Sea, then a Second message by...*DR. forgotten-his-name*, then we moved on to intercession. Prayed together. And we ended with appreciation to all teachers, CF presidents and a BK promotion.
After Convention....
Went to change into our casual clothing. The girls were good at keeping the guys waiting. *smile*
Took a photo together, then rushed off for lunch in Petaling Street a.k.a Chee Chong Kai street.
Went to a nearby coffee shop...had a simple economy rice cause I was afraid the other food store owners would talk to me in Cantonese, or any other hard dilects...So, I played safe.
Then we took a short cut to the Street ministry, and wow, was I like a" rusa masuk kampung" (is that right?)
It was my first time there, scary...but, my fear started to fade away the longer we stayed there.
As I stand at a corner just observing the hungry crowd waiting to be fed...
I was in my thoughts once more...wondering whether this was all real...
Funny thing really...Never had a chance to see people actually living by the streets before...only on TV shows like Movies on HBO and stuff like that.
It was a great and new experience that God had given me...
He showed to me that it was better to have something than nothing at all.
Like loving, caring parents who are willing to struggle hard to make sure we live a comfortable life...
Sometimes we take our family for granted...hoping more from them.
We should be grateful that God blessed us with what we have now...
We are so much more fortunate...so much much much more.
Just looking at them made my heart ache...like an arrow had pierced through.
It made me love and understand God even more.
So, after they were done eating their second plate of their curry meal...all of us had to do some singing in front.
We didn't even practice. Oh well, the show must go on. (^^,)
So we sang all the simple songs we could think of, Mr.J did some *Barney* phrases, some of us didn't even know the lyrics so we just lalala all the way...
At first...no one was paying any attention to us cause they were all still busy eating...some took a third plate I think.
But after some time, some turned their eyes to us and actually sang along.
As we were singing...my eyes turned to an old lady sitting by the fence. She was paying attention to us as well.
She remembered me of my late grandmother...whom I miss so much.
One thing about her which I could never forget was her smile.
The old lady, I don't know, somehow...she smiled exactly the same way how my grandmother did.
It just gave me joy in my heart...had no other words to describe it.
I just felt really happy.
Later, after we had run out of songs to sing...we left and headed back to the KTM station.
We did a bit of speed walking again...some did speed running...don't know why.
Bought our tickets and waited for our train.
Saw a train coming our way...thought it was ours. But, little did I know...I was about to step into the wrong train. I was about to step in when a familiar voice shouted " WRONG TRAIN!!"
That voice saved me. I went " What? Wrong train?" then as I turned back, I found out I wasn't the only one who was 'sesat'. Jeremy YEE was blur too. *lols*
Went back to where our group were standing...we were laughed at. What an embarassing moment.
So, after that I didn't bother to check myself for our train...I made a decision to follow wherever MR.J goes. To be safe.
Had a little sat-sei game while waiting for our REAL train...very fun...I didn't lose!! Yay.
When the REAL train arrived, we got onto it and headed back home.
Had enjoyable and embarassing moments...but it was fun. :)

One more day to go...
There's now only one more day left for me in Sarawak...
And then, it's goodbye to hometown...back to my one week ago life.
Time passes real fast...can't it just slow down just a little bit?
I guess not.
I'm surely gonna have hometown sickness all over again.
Don't be surprised to see me not smiling much, cause I will probably be in my own thoughts.
Oh well, thinking so much wouldn't help me anyway...
What I can do is wish them a friendly goodbye, a hug maybe, and carry back the sweet memories with me to Subang.
I'm gonna miss this Chinese New Year holiday...hope there's more to come next year.
NOW....SMILE!!!!!!!! (^^,)
Hey!!! I'm gonna be back in Subang soon!!! No, I'm not gonna say YAY...Instead, I will say...OKAY. :P Back to work...back to HOMEWORK...back to getting up early for school...bummer. Flight is tomorrow...going alone without guidance...
I have a feeling my sister and I are gonna get lost in the airport. (~.~)
Hope not.
Gotta wait for tomorrow to come...till then, Gonna go visit Batu Lintang and Hug as many of my friends as possible!!! :D
Gonna get ready. Thanks for reading!!~ (^^,)
Part sad- but cheering up,
~Eilene~
